About Sumhr

Hi everyone!

My name is Sumhr Swopes, a native of Chicago, IL and a graduate of the wonderful Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN!  In an attempt to capture all of my exciting college memories in one safe place, I bought a bunch of standard photo albums that only served as picture holders.  I wasn’t happy with the albums because they didn’t tell the bright and cheery story called My Life!  So the search for an amazing scrapbook began only to find myself in a dusty carpenter shop when the light bulb came on!!  The result of that discovery is what you see today – personalized wooden scrapbooks!!

My first customers were family and friends – I made the scrapbooks as unique gifts to capture their life’s greatest moments. After receiving such a positive response, I knew I was sitting on something special. My only wish is that you will love my products as much as I love making them!!

Apart from creating wooden scrapbook designs, what do I do?

RUN!  I am a marathon/half marathon runner!  Back in 2006 I was tricked (yes, TRICKED!!) by one of my girlfriends into running my very first marathon in Chicago.  Since then I haven’t been able to stop!  To date I have successfully completed 3 full marathons and 6 half marathons. In 2010, I plan to complete 2 more full marathons and 1 half marathon!

I am also a HUGE cook/baker.  I love to experiment and make different kinds of
foods and desserts.  My weakness is definitely cookies!!!  Not a very good weakness
to have in the middle of marathon training season, but I consider them carbs that
will help me run faster   ;)
